SUMMARY:NEEC 2018 Farm to Table Fundraiser Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The Northeast Earth Coalition (NEEC) is delighted to welcome you to the fall Annual Farm to Table Fundraiser Dinner at the Guild Room of First Congregational Church\, 40 South Fullerton Avenue\, Montclair\, NJ 07042\, October 13\, 2018\, from 6:30 to 9:30pm. The Farm to Table Dinner will feature local organically grown vegetables produced by affilated gardens of our Urban Growers Program. Local chefs will prepare seasonal dishes using produce directly from community gardens and local organic farmers. \nA variety of dishes\, including vegetarian and vegan options\, and beverages will be accompanied by live music from local musicians. A silent auction/raffle will also be part of the evening. Jose German\, CEO of the NEEC\, will share a brief presentation on the impact of the Urban Growers and Environmental Initiatives Programs and and our vision for the future. \nProceeds from this event will directly benefit the NEEC’s programs. Your $60 contribution will cover the dinner\, desserts\, and refreshments. 40% of the ticket price will be tax deductible. SUMMARY:End of Gardening Season
DESCRIPTION:The NEEC is sponsoring a celebration of end of the harvest season with a Mexican cultural event about the Day of the Dead. The event will be held at the Passaic Neighborhood Women’s Center. The women participating in the installation are part of the NEEC Urban Growers Program. \nThe Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico\, in particular the Central and South regions\, and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The celebration includes the creation of altars to remember the dead\, traditional dishes for Day of the Dead. \nCome to see an authentic celebration that honors our ancestors and life. Free event open to the public. Due to the size of the venue the space is limited. Please confirm attendance early. Thank you.
