DESCRIPTION:The NEEC is sponsoring a celebration of end of the harvest season with a Mexican cultural event about the Day of the Dead. This traditional event will be held at the Passaic Neighborhood Women’s Center. The women participating in the installation are part of the NEEC Urban Growers Program. \nThe Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico\, in particular the Central and South regions\, and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The celebration includes the\ncreation of altars to remember the dead\, traditional dishes for Day of the Dead. \nCome to see an authentic celebration that honors our ancestors and life. Free event open to the public. Due to the size of the venue the space is limited. Please confirm attendance early. Thank you.
