2019 NEEC Workshop Series: Gardening for Life

This workshop is the first of our 2019 Gardening for Life Series. It offers and opportunity to learn some basics about gardening, including the process of planning and implementing a new garden. We will discuss the importance of soil and soil enhancements in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly flower garden. Also covered will be the key roles of native plants and pollinator gardens, way to combine native plants with vegetables to attract pollinators, the benefits of local food, and how to grow your own veggies within steps of your kitchen.
You will have a chance to meet the panelists, including landscape architect Stephen Panasci, Essex County Master Gardener Jose German and wildlife habitat expert David Wasmuth to get advice on your gardening project.
