The Northeast Earth Coalition

Sustainability

The Northeast Earth Coalition (NEEC) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization devoted to empowering communities in New Jersey and throughout the Northeast to protect the environment, grow food locally, and strengthen community resilience.

Food Security

NEEC stewards five community vegetable gardens and three pollinator gardens. Our 17 Food Community Network food distribution centers (aka Free Little Food Pantries) are located across five towns in northern New Jersey. We raise and distribute food to various local organizations that support seniors, the disabled, the unhoused, and the food insecure. We believe in nurturing a healthier society through education about and appreciation of local fresh, sustainably raised produce and products.

Volunteer

NEEC runs on volunteer power. Whether tending to the gardens, stocking the pantries, or helping at our events, there are lots of ways to get involved.
