Earth Day Celebration 2025

The Northeast Earth Coalition (NEEC), invites you to join their 2025 Earth Day Celebration from April 22-26, for a week of events on the theme of “OUR POWER OUR PLANET. Between Thursday April 17th and Sunday April 27th, we will have volunteer opportunities for cleanups in parks and community gardens, live music by Forget The Whale Band, and The Morristown Mayo Performing Arts Center Group, and environmental displays.
The Northeast Earth Coalition is partnering with the Township of Montclair, the Parks and Recreation Committee, Friends of Montclair Parks. and The Brookdale Park Conservancy, and New Jersey Sierra Club.

MONTCLAIR EARTH DAY EVENTS:
APRIL 17:
- Kimberly Academy Primary School Earth Day Fest – Limited Attendance due to school rules
APRIL 22:
- Brookdale Park Overlook Native Plant Garden Cleanup from 9:00am-11:00am
APRIL 26:
The cleanups are subject to the weather conditions in the morning. Please check the website, and our Instagram and Facebook accounts for updates.
- Stream cleanup (Toney’s Brook): Bay Street Train Station 9:30am – 11:00am
- 94 Pine Street Community Garden (Community Composting Program & Vegetable garden planting) 9:30 am to 11:00am.

- Canterbury Park 10:30am to 1:30pm – NEW DATE: May 2nd from 10:00-11:30pm.
- Edgemont Park 10:00am to 12:00pm
- Erie Park 9:30am to 12:30pm

- Mountainside Park 9:00am to 12:30pm
- Rand Skate Park 9:30am to 12:30pm

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION CRANE PARK 1:00pm to 3:00pm:
This event has been canceled due to the weather conditions on Saturday afternoon.
- Live Music, activities for kids and environmental displays
- Township Proclamation at 2:00pm
APRIL 27:
- Montclair Earth Fest 12:00pm to 4:00pm, South Park Street, Montclair center, there will be an Electric Vehicle display including 8 different EV models with an opportunity to talk directly to the vehicle owners about their experiences owning and driving an EV.
