Jose is well know as an environmental activist in northern New Jersey as well as an educator in sustainable & Eco-friendly communities and organic gardening. His lecture “Gardening for life” have been presented in many communities of central and north jersey as well as in Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
He is co-founder of the Montclair Backyard Habitat Project sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation, and is the founder of the Northeast Earth Coalition, Inc.
He is the Treasurer of Cornucopia Network of New Jersey, at Montclair based organization that promotes organic agriculture, local food and vegetable gardens.
He is also a member of the Township of Montclair Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
His work has been covered for local media as well as the national magazine Bird Watch. He holds a MBA from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.
He is a Consultant in Finance and Accounting for non-profit organizations in New York City and New Jersey.
