The Northeast Earth Coalition is part of a nationwide movement of people who want fresh, local food and recognize that community gardens play a vital role in providing it. They also recognize the need for people to support the habitat of pollinators such as bees and butterflies, so crucial to a continuing food supply. These projects also create social ‘how to’ networking opportunities so that more people can participate.

We would like to invite you to be part of Community Garden Day 2016. To participate, please complete the registration form (See below) and send a two-paragraph description of your garden, its location, two digital pictures and your contact information to the email address below.

Your photos will be entered in the “Best Community Garden Picture of 2016” contest. The winner will receive a $500 prize to support the work of their gardening group.

Deadline for registration is May 15, 2016.   The garden photo winner will be announced on June 30, 2016. See photo contest rules attached. Please email your registration and the two pictures to:
