The NEEC is sponsoring a celebration of end of the harvest season with a Mexican cultural event about the Day of the Dead. The event will be held at the Passaic Neighborhood Women’s Center. The women participating in the installation are part of the NEEC Urban Growers Program.

The Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the Central and South regions, and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The celebration includes the creation of altars to remember the dead, traditional dishes for Day of the Dead.
