Nothing beats a Jersey tomato
at the peak of summer.
Nothing is healthier, fresher, or tastier than homegrown food. But not everyone has access to fresh produce, which is why a key component of Northeast Earth Coalition’s work is to grow and harvest vegetables at our urban gardens to feed the food insecure.
Our vegetable gardens locations:
- First Congregational Church, 40 S Fullerton Ave, Montclair
- Montclair Inn, 27 Hillside Ave, Montclair
- Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 94 Pine St, Montclair
- Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Ave, Montclair
- Passaic Neighborhood Center for Women, 217 Third St, Passaic

In 2024, NEEC’s five community gardens in Montclair and Passaic raised over 8,000 pounds of produce for donation to local food programs, including Human Needs Food Pantry, MESH, and Montclair Inn.
Our volunteers help plant, water, harvest, and deliver our crops, as well as help to maintain the gardens and composters.
